WYF,Inc Food Pantry
The Wesley Youth Foundation, Inc. offers a food pantry in connection with the Mississippi Food Network to help with the relief of poverty-related hunger in the Holmes County area and provide nutrition education. Food boxes are given out by appointments. Emergency food boxes are given to those who are in need and referred through other agencies.
...TUTORIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS
This service will be provided as a form of remediation for those in need of mathematics, reading, GED preparation and other standardized testing preparation.
...COLLEGE PREPARATIONS
This service will help parents as well as the graduating student to fill out necessary forms for college finances, information on grants and student loads.
...LEISURE ACTIVITES
Organized sports and recreational acitivities will be available for youth. Other activities will involve the community to bring unity amoung our people.
...COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMS
Awareness programs will be offered to the community on issues such as: abstinence, teen-pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence, and other issues relating to crime.
...JOB AWARENESS PROGRAMS
This service will be provided to prepare citizens for the competitive job market. We will offer programs in career development to teach basic fundamentals for employment preparation, such as: application preparations, resume writing, proper dress code, and interview skills.
